A tourist town in the center of the island, it is located in
a beautiful gulf possessing diverse beaches amongst the most
beautiful of Elba (Procchio, Spartaia, Paolina and La Guardiola)
and a crystal clear sea; which together with Pomonte are considered
amongst the best nationally. Though not big, the town boasts
a covered town square where there is often live music in the
evening, a playground, and numerous Summer festivals. There
are many hotels, villas and apartments spread over a huge area
of verdant countryside. The beach has various services.
