Besides the sea, the island is rich with fabulous mountain
walks, typical towns and monuments that record the history
of Elba. Several itineraries are listed below. They are complete
with photos, useful also as a virtual visit.

 MOUNT
CAPANNE
You can make an excursion up the mountain (1019 m) by funicular,
with the departure point at Marciana Alta. On clear days it offers
a fabulous panorama.

PERONE
A mountain itinerary that can also be done by car, following the
street that goes over the summit (alt. 630 m). The trip provides
many beautiful panoramas and crosses through towns characteristic
of the island.

RING
The Western round trip of the island (50 km) crosses through many
towns and numerous beaches amongst the most beautiful of Elba.

With this itinerary you discover the other face of the island,

 PORTOFERRAIO
A historical itinerary inside Portoferraio that visits: Stella
Fort, Falcone Fort and Napoleone's Windmill Villa, all close to
one another and from which there are beautiful views of the bay
of Portoferraio and its surrounding parts. |
